Medium Bears

This is Sally, one of my bears from the English Teddy Bear Company . She's a Somerset bear (I'm not sure if they still do, but the company used to call its bears after English counties). The outfit is a belly dance costume I got for her - she has quite a few outfits!

Same picture as front page at the moment - this is Bertie, my other English Teddy Bear Company bear. He's a little shorter that Sally, and he's a Worcester bear. He was a gift from Ant. Like Sally he has several outfits, this is his cute schoolboy look.

These are Vermont Teddy Bears , although I actually made both of them myself... Theo, on the right, was acquired at the factory. He was sewn together but not stuffed, and I stuffed him and named him. He's not jointed. Rosie, on the left, came back to the UK with some friends as a kit, and I constructed her. She is jointed. They're both wearing outfits from the English Teddy bear Company .

Gregory is a Russ Berrie bear. I got him at Heathrow Airport, on the way out to Norway. I was going out on business for a few days and feeling a little lonely. when I saw him I felt he could be my friend, so I got him and took him along. He's holding a dried rose from a Valentines bouquet.

This is Thornton. He was bought from one of the Thornton's chocolate shops. When I got him, he had a little red duffle bag, filled with chocolate teddies (but they're all gone now). He's got a beanbag body and standard stuffed arms, legs and head.

Megan is an unusual bear. She has no features, although the folds and contours of the fabric give an impression of a face. She's stuffed with bran and is scented. She's designed to be re-scented by dropping essential oils on the back of her neck. 

This is OldBear - he has no other name. he's my oldest bear, but wasn't always mine - he came to me through the family. He suffered a flufferage (the teddy version of a hemorrhage) a few years back and had to have a transfusion. He's still a little floppy, but that's part of his character.
