There seem to be many and varied styles of belly dance, and the more I learn, the more styles I seem to see. These are a few I have seen practiced here in the UK

Note that this is my view of dance styles, and it’s not necessarily the "official" view of how it is... I apologize if I offend anyone who follows one or the other style. 

One thing to remember - whatever style dancers follow, its still belly dance - still the same basic moves and with the same underlying feel of joy in movement, music and a celebration of womanhood.
